On Thursday it was time to say goodbye to Paris and our hotel by the Bastille.

Our TGV left Montparnasse at 9:28, but didn't reach Bordeaux until 3 pm due to a lot of electrical problems. We were stopped at Poitiers for an hour and a half waiting for an electrical outage on the tracks in the south to be cleared and then our train lost electricity in the middle of a field about an hour after we had started again.
Bordeaux is a beautiful city! Our hotel is near the Pont de Pierre and a close walk to the old town.

For dinner we grabbed some wine and cheese at the place du parliament.

We walked over to the Place de la Bourse and found out that the Miroir d'eau (a reflecting pool) is only on during the summer season. Beautiful building regardless!
