Seeing the sights

Monday took us all over Paris. We started by Les Invalides - here's our first view of the Eiffel Tower!

We walked over to the Champ des Mars and took lots of photos of the Effiel Tower.

Happy!

We stopped at a Brasserie for pizza and then headed towards Le Jardin du Luxemboug, visiting Place St Sulpice along the way:

Watch out!

The Luxembourg gardens were busy with lots of people out taking advantage of the warm weather and sun.

Angie set up a night bike tour with Fat Tire Bikes, which was fabulous. Paris is absolutely beautiful by night - we rode by the Effiel Tower towards Ile Saint Louis for some Berthillion ice cream. Next up was Notre Dame de Paris at night, then Palais de la Justice and Saint Chappelle. We rode down Boulevard St Germain past Cafe de la Flore and Les Deux Moulins and St Michel monument and crossed the Seine again at the pont d'Alma with its locks. We went to the Louvre to see the pyramids and take pictures (a saxophonist was playing). Heading back towards the Eiffel Tower we were able to spot the Arc de Triomphe from a distance. Our tour included a Bateaux Mouche ride on the Seine. The boat ride was quite chilly, but we enjoyed some vin and good company.
